OPTIMISATION ALGORITHMS

The optimization algorithms simulate vehicle tasking through an environmental forecast using a virtual autopilot. The mission goal and the sampling parameter options create a cost function, and the simulations calculate the cost function value for each ensemble. By choosing the minimum cost function value, the optimal solution ensemble is selected.

VIRTUAL AUTOPILOT

The virtual autopilot is heading focussed using a modelled environment. It monitors ‘past’ ability to help predict and correct future outcomes. Implicitly energy conscious, it uses currents respectfully ensuring net heading progress is prioritised.
